- A rebuilt website for a Canterbury technical contractor, restructured so visitors can see straight away that Techniche handles specialist AV, installation and fabrication work, and know how to start a project.
- Problem
- Techniche NZ is a Canterbury-based technical contractor working across Canterbury, and elsewhere in New Zealand by arrangement. The previous homepage opened on a small centred business name over a dark photo, with compact service tiles, narrow content columns and large empty gaps further down the page. Contact details and client reviews sat towards the bottom, and the hero did not say in plain terms what kind of contractor Techniche is. Fairweb rebuilt the site to lead with the specialism and make the services and next steps easier to find.

- Outcome / Focus
- Clearer specialist positioning, service structure and enquiry paths
Project Overview
Techniche NZ is a Canterbury-based technical contractor working across Canterbury, and elsewhere in New Zealand by arrangement.
What Changed on the Homepage
The original homepage next to the rebuilt one. The aim was clearer presentation and easier enquiry paths; the notes below describe visible differences only.

Screenshots are shown at their original proportions and scroll independently. The two pages are different lengths, so sections do not line up side by side.

Project Goals
What the Techniche NZ website needed to achieve for the business.
State the specialism clearly in the hero: AV, installation and fabrication
Organise the work into clear service categories
Show real completed work, not just descriptions
Give visitors obvious ways to start an enquiry from the top of the page
Built for Every Screen
The Techniche NZ website is designed to look polished and read clearly on desktop, tablet, and mobile — wherever customers find it.

What Fairweb Helped With
The areas Fairweb planned, designed, and built for this project.
Homepage rebuild and content structure
Hero messaging naming specialist AV, installation and fabrication
Services, About, Gallery and Get a Quote navigation
Six service categories with short descriptions
Recent Work gallery using real project photos
Discuss Your Project and View Our Work calls to action
Design & Structure Approach
The rebuild uses a full-width hero photograph of a real venue with a direct headline, a short description of the service area, and two clear calls to action. Below it, the page moves through an introduction, six service categories (AV systems; fabrication and welding; rigging, height access and equipment installation; cabling and networks; technical contracting and project support; electrical test and tag), a Recent Work gallery, reasons to work with Techniche, the Canterbury service area, existing client reviews, FAQs and a final quote prompt. Content runs wider and spacing is tighter, so the page reads as one continuous story instead of separated blocks.
